What is a Giclée Print?

Giclée prints are created from Killion's most popular images that are no longer available as original relief prints. They are all produced in enlarged-format editions which retain the color saturation and line detail of the originals but on a much larger scale, perfect for displaying on big walls. All large-format pieces are printed using giclée print technology in limited editions, signed and numbered by the artist. All giclée prints begin with a digital capture of the best print from Killion's original relief-print edition, reworked for the enlarged format. Killion's older giclée prints were printed on 'Iris' drum printers with water-based inks. His more recent giclée editions are printed with Epson drum printers using improved archival inks.
