Printing History: These immense Giant Sequoias were sketched by Killion in the Giant Forest, Sequoia National Park and turned into a multi-block woodblock print in 2020 (sold out). A first edition of enlarged-format giclee prints was produced in an edition of 95 plus 10 a.p.s in 2022 (sold out); in 2023 a smaller size roman numeraled ed. of 35 plus 6 small proofs was also created (sold out). This new second edition of 95 large-format giclee prints plus some artist proofs was developed from an original woodcut proof printed by Killion on cream-colored Torinoko paper that brings out the richness of the forest colors.
