A Film about Tom’s journey to discover the world of 19th century Japanese master-artist Katsushika Hokusai, “Journey to Hokusai”, will be screened at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana on Sunday Afternoon Nov. 12 (following Killion’s [now sold out] printmaking workshop on Saturday.) Killion will be available for Q&A after the screening. It was filmed by Chikara Motomura in 2018, and includes footage of Killion’s struggle to learn the traditional art of moku hanga woodblock printing.
