These large-format prints include many of Killion's most popular images that are no longer available as original relief prints. Large-format pieces are printed using giclée technology, which retains the color saturation and line detail of the originals but on a much larger scale, perfect for displaying on big walls. All large-format pieces are printed in limited editions, signed and numbered by the artist.

Printing History: This view from Bolinas Ridge to Bolinas Lagoon and the sea beyond was first created as a multi-block woodcut print in 2009 (sold out). An enlarged Iris Print edition of 65 was created in 2012 in two sizes, plus some a.p.s (sold out). The new Large Format Giclee edition II of 95 was begun in 2023, available here.

Printing History: This view from the Iris beds along Chimney Rock trail looks northwards along the coast of the Pt. Reyes peninsula and east towards Drake’s Bay. Originally printed in 2011 as a multi-block reduction-cut (out-of-print), then printed in 2015 as an enlarged format giclee print in an edition of 85. Now available in a new, larger, giclee edition of 95.

This view is from above the mouth of Cataract Creek where it empties into Palisade Creek, which can be seen falling several thousand feet along the Golden Staircase section of the John Muir Trail. A gigantic Western White Pine grows on the left side of image, at the upper limit of its elevation range. All in all, the image depicts over 5,000 feet of High Sierra vertical terrain, from the top of Middle Palisade Peak (14,012') to the junction of the two creeks (c.9,000'). The original woodcut print of this image was produced in 2017 in edition of 185 (sold out). This new enlarged format giclee image was created in 2022 in edition of 95, with two sizes. The larger size depicted here, is the edition size sold on this website. (A smaller 22” x 13” edition was also created in a roman numeral edition of 40. The small original print of this image was created in two editions with two different coloring schemes (state I ed. of 101, 1999; state II ed. 80, 2001; both sold out). This new enlarged-format giclee edition of 95 was made from the State I image. It derives from a sketch I made in the Wallace Lakes Basin on a 1986 ski tour of the Sierra Crest from Kearsarge Pass to Whitney Portal. Available as giclee print only.

This view of Half Dome from Glacier Point derives from a sketch made while skiing out the snow-covered road in winter. Two original woodcut editions of this image were created, with different colorings (State I, ed. of 115, 1999; State II, ed. of 108, 2012; both sold out). This new large-format giclee image was created from the State II coloring in an edition of 95.

Printing History: The view from below Tor House on Carmel Point, as it might have looked when poet Robinson Jeffers built his stone tower there in the early 20th century. In 2014 Killion created his original 32-color multi-block woodcut print of this image (sold out). This new Large-Format edition of 95, plus 30 a.p.s, has been printed in two separate panels, each measuring approx. 24.5x25.5. Sold only as a diptych set, with framing instructions to create a 31x60 two-window mat for the panorama.

This was Killion's first "serious" lino-cut print. The block was carved in 1970, and several small editions were printed during 1973-75. The block was lost, but Killion's one remaining copy, damaged by waterstains, was digitally restored to produce this slightly enlarged giclée edition: first edition of 75 plus 8 artist's proofs printed in 2013-14; ed. II of 55 plus several a.p.s printed 2017; this State III was reworked and printed in edition of 85 plus a few a.p.s in late 2019.

In 2004 an Iris Print large-format version was produced in edition of 80 (originally numbered as 98, but only 80 actually printed —out of print). This new giclee edition has reworked colors and larger format.

This boulder stands above the Tuolumne River near footbridge to Soda Springs. Originally printed as 3-color woodcut: State I, edition of 95 in 1998; State II, edition of 95 (all out-of-print). The giclée edition was begun for Gumps in 2007, with numbers 1-20 measuring 24x20 inches (sold out); the rest of edition plus 30 artist proofs are sized 16x12.5 image.
